We are pleased to announce that the Scottish Ninjas™ pilot episode, “A Very Scottish Pilot”, is among the official selections for the 2010 Independent Television Festival!

ITVFest, is the premier festival in the world for independently produced television pilots and webseries.  It is the festival where up and coming talent in television and new media can show their wares directly to a live audience and meet with industry professionals.

The festival takes place from July 30th – August 5th at LA’s Laemmle Sunset 5 theatre.

We are pleased to announce that ASIFA Seattle will be sponsoring a screening of the Scottish Ninjas™ pilot episode followed by a Q&A with the creators.  It’ll take place July 14th, at St. Andrews Pub.  Go to ASIFA Seattle for full details.

ASIFA is a worldwide organization of professional animators and those involved with the production of animated films (such as directors, producers, musicians, and traditional artists), founded in France back in 1960.

ASIFA stands for ASsociation Internationale d’Film d’Animation.  Or in plain English, The International Animated Film Association.

The UK’s magazine, “The List”, wrote an online article all about the best of animation in Scotland.  Among the cartoons mentioned was our very own Scottish Ninjas™!  In the article, they use our opening titles as an analogy for Scotland’s growing animation industry.  You can read the full article HERE.

As we wrote earlier, the creators of the Scottish Ninjas™ were interviewed for the Seattle-Geekly podcast. Well, we are proud to announce that the podcast is now online and you can listen to our interview HERE!  We may be a tad biased, but we think it is Seattle-Geekly’s best show to date!  It’s their Mona Lisa!…their Sistine Chapel!…their Empire Strikes Back!  It’s an hour and forty seven minutes of pure gold.  Which would make our segment 20 minutes of super duper pure gold!  We highly recommend you listen to the entire episode, as there are many riveting interviews and fantastic musical interludes.  But if you are an impatient bastard, you can jump to the 29 min mark to hear our interview.

Beau and Rob, the dynamic duo behind the Scottish Ninjas, were just interviewed by another power pair, the creators of the Seattle-Geekly podcast, Shannon and Matt!  They were gracious enough to invite us for a sit down chat, and we were humble enough to step down off our throne on Mt. Olympus to visit among mortals.  We laughed, we cried, we agreed to follow the court appointed restraining order.  I’ve never seen pepper spray in a Starwars Pez dispenser before….
